We’ve certainly upped the ante in 2011 and with the pending redevelopment of the tennis clubrooms, as well as the generosity of Prince, we’re introducing a number of initiatives to help support the tennis club and its members this year. The first great concept is the 2011 Hamlyn Park Tennis Club raffle!

IMPORTANT DATES: All money and any unsold raffle tickets are to be returned to the tennis club by no later than Saturday – 6th of August.

DRAW: Prizes will be drawn at the End of Season Club BBQ to be held 6th August, following play in Juniors (approx 11am). For any enquiries, please contact Joe Horvat on 0405 666966.

The Hamlyn Park Tennis Club Christmas function is on again in 2010! Starting at 7pm on Saturday the 11th of December, this family-oriented function always draws a big crowd with plenty of Christmas fun and cheer for both adults and children.

Junior Update

Junior Tennis BBQ

The Hamlyn Park Tennis Club committee will be cooking a bbq for all Junior members/pennant players on October 30 and November 6 after their respective matches.

Sausages and drinks will be free for Junior members and will cost $1 each for visiting players, mums, dads and other supporters.

Committee members will also be happy to collect any outstanding fees on these days!

Wait ………..there is more good news!

Vicki Plowman (mother of Garris) has kindly offered to supervise a junior practice session at our tennis courts each Tuesday afternoon from 4 to 5pm. That means Vicki will be there to make sure everyone is safe while you have a hit of tennis. If Vicki is not available on a Tuesday, Anne Powers will supervise practice and if both of us are unavailable, I will notify you by email. The clubrooms will be open, so Mums and Dads can have hit with you or sit and have a chat with Vicki. This starts Tuesday October 26.
